Jennifer Kaiton

(she/her/hers)

Seattle native, Jennifer Kaiton, is a 3rd-generation professional singer. At an early age, she began studying music with Vocalpoint’s Joe Crnko (rock performing group), and voice teacher, Julie Wieck. At Washington State University she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Music, and sang for various performing groups including concert choir, opera ensemble, solo classical performances, and various jazz ensembles. After university, Jennifer sang as a backup singer for Seattle based trip-hop group The Fading Collection while also teaching music for the Northwest Boychoir and conducting the children’s choir at Plymouth Congregational church.

In 2004, Jennifer moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in the music industry, where she worked as a contract singer, a licensing and royalties administrator for a music publishing company and a licensing administrator for TV/Film projects. One of the most fun music projects she participated in was a disco band for Max Azria’s (fashion designer) Shabbat dinners. In this band, she performed with legend Jeffery Deon Estes (bass player for Wham!).

Since returning to Seattle in 2011, Jennifer has worked for PlayNetwork, Inc. as their licensing/royalties administrator while also performing in their in-house staff band. She has also been an active member of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences Seattle chapter as well as a former member of SAG-AFTRA, singing for various TV, film, and video game projects. As a church singer, she regularly solos with Plymouth Congregational Church in downtown Seattle. Most recently, Jennifer is actively singing and performing with local singer/songwriter Tavia Rhodes at venues around the Seattle area including Sunset Tavern, High Dive, and Substation.

Instruments: Voice, Ukulélé, Piano, Guitar and some percussion.
